DNA-Diagnostics Nijmegen, The Netherlands

The division DNA-Diagnostics is part of the Department of Human Genetics of the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre, The Netherlands.

Our laboratory is one of the nine national centres for DNA diagnostic services and is granted accreditation by CCKL, the Dutch quality assessment institute for medical laboratories. We offer molecular testing for over 100 different disorders. Our main areas of interest are:

  • hereditary cancers
  • hereditary kidney disorders
  • hereditary deafness and blindness
  • hereditary neuromuscular disorders
  • mitochondrial disorders
  • mental retardation

Besides genetic testing, our laboratory is involved in various areas of research, including pharmacogenetics and riskfactor analysis.
